Artists for Soup
What the Client Said
In the summer of 2016, I contacted Your Webster LLC because I needed a website for the organization I direct. I started by sharing the fact that our organization, Artists for Soup, Inc., had limited funds to spend on a website because of the fact that we scramble each year to cover operating expenses. Our organization supports rural community-based sustainable agriculture projects aimed at combatting hunger in Nicaragua. I didn’t see how Artists for Soup could commit to spending very much money on something intangible like a website, even though I believed we needed a professional level website if we hoped to prosper.
The economics of a website with Your Webster is something I could not have anticipated before working with them. Not only is Your Webster very affordable but in addition, the website begins to pay for itself very quickly. What transpired initially was an energizing set of conversations that provided insights on collecting materials and generating prose that would provide the parts in the design our website. The process of creating the website was time-efficient and exciting because of how beautifully it all came together.
Your Webster helped me learn about how to utilize my website to generate revenue for my nonprofit work by linking it to most of our communication. The Director of Your Webster, Shankar Ramachandran, is patient, kind and an excellent partner in developing the message we share on our website. His insights into design, fundraising, and website development have benefitted our organization for many years now in significant ways.
It didn’t take very long for me to realize that the website Your Webster LLC created began to help gather support in a new more generative and widely- reaching way. By using all my posting on social media with links back to the website, I create a central location of vibrant and dynamic information that offers ways for people to participate in supporting sustainable agriculture and hunger relief work.
What I received from Your Webster was the direction and support needed as our growing nonprofit focused on refining our mission. Our aesthetically-pleasing, well-organized website has been central in the work of sharing information about Artists for Soup’s goals, programs, events and campaigns. In recent years, we’ve been able to use the website when applying for grants and when corresponding with potential donors. I’m grateful to Your Webster for helping move our organization to new levels of efficiency and productivity through generous attention to our evolving work.
